Hen and Stag Parties

Venturi’s Table offers delicious and indulgent cookery-based hen and stag parties. In our gorgeous, private kitchens the hen or stag party will have fun creating authentic Italian recipes while sipping fine Sicilian wines. At the end of their ‘hard labour’ the hens or stags will then enjoy the restaurant-quality meal they have had a hand in creating. In addition the bride or groom may even pick-up some great new cooking tips that they can wow their new spouse with!

How it works

The emphasis is on fun, relaxation and enjoyment! Rather than mindless amounts of chopping or arm-straining mixing, your party guests are invited to ‘sip and stir,’ enjoying fine wines as they cook in a state-of-the-art kitchen. At the end of the cooking session, hungry and fully relaxed, your party guests will sit down together and be served the gourmet food you have all helped to create.

Nothing is prepared in advance in order that the pleasure of the cooking process can be fully experienced. Different levels of culinary skill are accounted for, with seasoned cooks exposed to trade secrets and beginners able to get stuck in to well structured recipes. A team of chefs and waiting staff are also provided for each party to ensure the creation of the meal is both enjoyable and effortless.

Your guests will each leave the party with a copy of the recipes they have cooked plus the bride or groom-to-be will receive a free copy of Anna Venturi’s recipe book ‘Secrets from an Italian Kitchen’ published by Pavilion. ‘Secrets from an Italian Kitchen’ is full of approachable, fail-safe Italian recipes, perfect for new wives or husbands.

For a more challenging twist we can also offer Masterchef-inspired cookery events for hen and stag parties. “Cooking doesn’t get tougher than this,” as participants get the chance to try their hand at the famous invention test using a set of mystery ingredients.

Event timings

Hen and stag party cookery experiences last three hours with timings designed to suit each party. Morning and evening slots are the most popular, allowing groups to work towards an hour long lunchtime or evening meal.
