Baby Showers

A Venturi’s Table cooking party is a fun and delicious option for a baby shower. With private use of one of the centre’s gorgeous kitchens (regularly used by celebrity chefs as their own ‘TV kitchen,’) and led by a team of expert chefs, your baby shower guests will cook authentic, Italian recipes together while sipping Sicilian wines and then sit down around the table to enjoy a beautiful Italian meal. The baby shower combines five-star attention to detail (even the ceramics were chosen to match each kitchen’s individual aesthetic) with the warm, relaxed atmosphere of an Italian family meal.

How it works

Your party will be welcomed into the centre’s Sicilian or Milan kitchens with a glass of prosecco and homemade canapes were you will meet your own team of chefs and waiting staff. The party will then take part in a hands-on cookery session using ingredients sourced from specialist Italian suppliers to make your own, bespoke Italian menu.

The emphasis is on fun, relaxation and enjoyment. Rather than mindless amounts of chopping or arm-straining mixing, guests are invited to ‘sip and stir,’ enjoying fine wines as they cook in a state-of-the-art kitchen. At the end of their cooking, hungry and fully relaxed, your party will sit down together and be served the gourmet Italian food you have created. At the end of the baby shower, the group will each be given a copy of the recipes they have cooked plus the mother-to-be will receive a copy of Anna Venturi’s recipe book ‘Secrets from an Italian kitchen.”

For a more challenging twist we can also offer Masterchef-inspired cookery events for baby showers. “Cooking doesn’t get tougher than this,” as participants get the chance to try their hand at the famous invention test using a set of mystery ingredients.

Event timings

Baby showers at Venturi’s Table last three hours and timings can be designed to suit each client. Morning and evening slots are the most popular, allowing teams to work towards an hour long lunchtime or evening meal.
