Cookery classes are the lastest popular pastime for City workers. The trend is thought to have been sparked by companies keen to find new team-building activities for their staff. One teaching centre's bookings have risen by 300 per cent in the past month alone. Venturi's Table in Wandsworth Town teaches bankers, accountants and lawyers to prepare everything from sushi to Indian food, which the corporate chefs then eat together.
